I thank you for all of the work you have put into this wiki along with your fellow staff. This wiki has helped me progress, make good decisions, and allowed me to connect to others all in the hopes of more worthwhile and enjoyable gameplay. Please continue to do as you do for the plethora who visit this site, as well as Boom Beach itself, everyday.
Oh King. Before the last maintenance period began, I received a notification that the game sent out displaying the game would be closing in a specified amount of time (five minutes). To get to the point, I was able to screenshot it at the moment it was starting to fade away and wanted to ask if you would like it for the wiki. I'm not sure if you would have use for it anywhere. But if you could find use, I can have it uploaded.
I'm not too sure I'll be able to understand everything that goes on in the game. I read a bit of the last one and didn't really get it that much either. I'll reread the rules in the morning and try to be an active participant. Thanks for the invite.
Its a new thing I was thinking about, a jeep with a machine gun on the back. Its in range of rocket launchers, all prototypes, shock launchers, and sniper towers. Its kinda like the heavy but with larger range and a little more damage. I think the colors would be blue (dark and light) and a little bit of white.
The main problems that I see in this troop, are that it is in range of boom cannons and the general vehicular design typically takes up a great amount of space in an LC. I'm taking a shot that it would be of lower health than a tank but higher than a warrior, so killing it would be a one-two punch by heavy hitting defenses. As well the damage output could not counter what defenses dish out, and these vehicles would fall pretty fast without doing much damage. And as for their attacking range: if they were to have a longer range than a heavy, it would be debatable whether or not their sheilding ability would make much of a difference when guarding zookas and/or rifles.
If they die easier than a tank but are in range of boom cannons and snipers, take up a large amount of space (meaning about 3 or 4 to a Lvl 20 landing craft), and are unable to defend other troops, then the idea is not ready.
Hey there, Duke. It's nice seeing you being so active around the wiki. You've been really helpful to many people with questions and such. I just wanted to take this opportunity to ask you what you think about things. Any questions about the wiki? Also, I was wondering why you tend to stay away from editing pages, creating blogs, and the like. Do you need help with something?
I really like being a part of the community; it gives me a sense of purpose helping the contributors work towards more enjoyable game play. There is not much on the wiki that I can say is in need of touching up besides for new pages, the blackguard base references, and pages that are just under construction at the moment. Everything else is well kept up-to-date thanks to the wiki's staff and powerusers.
I don't generally like editing articles because I'm a beginner in the coding that takes place. Most of what I have learned has come from your editing blogs which I still use regularly for reference whenever I do something that I'm not entirely sure of. There have been several blog topics to come to my mind in the past couple of months, but usually I find myself trashing the ideas before I'm able to progress with it and eventually publish. I guess my place is in the hospitality center of the wiki, answering questions when they arise.
I feel I'm doing fine as a poweruser. I've been not as active in the past week as during the summer; classes are taking quite a bit of my time (3 Advanced Placements and 2 Dual Enrollment courses, especially government O~O").
I try to come back everyday, open up the recent edits page, and open all of the recents as new tabs. I proceed to answer as many as I need to then lay in wait until someone new makes a contribution. Usually I refresh the Wiki Activity page like 20-40 times a day to see if I've missed anything.
Hi there, Duke. I have been preparing a new system for Blackguard Bases. It will involve moving each base entry to its own page. Before I release the procedure for how to convert the entries, I would like to make sure we have a couple good editors who are ready to work on this project. Would you be willing to help?
Hey Duke. I just approved your strategy blog. It is very well-written and interesting, but I would like to suggest one thing.
I think you should have an introduction paragraph before the disclaimer that summarizes what this play style is. Early in the blog, you seem to expect the reader to know that you mean never uncovering a mercenary. This may confuse some readers.
I'll try to have the addition in by Thursday. More than likely I'll include the image of a Mercenary from my main for reference. As for everything else, I'm still relearning the game play style on my mini account, so I expect to continuously update my findings as they come to me. (especially in the power stone and reward sections). Thank you for the critique, KD.
Also, I'm thinking of two potential strategy blogs right now. When an outline is complete, I'll post it and work from there.
Honestly, all of the pictures that I put up on the wiki are screenshots that I message to myself on Facebook and save them when I open the website up on my PC. I save them in my files then upload them through the wiki's Special:Upload page to get them up. From there, all I really need to do to get them up on a page is use the template that given to me on the page.
On the You page, the template is in the directions. If you need a reference, it's perfectly fine to compare yours to another functioning one in the source editor (although we are not allowed to edit another person's profile). If you can't get it to work, you can ask the wiki staff to get it up for you, but they can only help if the file has been uploaded to the wiki.
Looking back on it, I wish I had specified the region more before posting this afternoon. It was not the northern most one, but the one next to it. The one that shows a Reource Base Outpost popping up from underneath the clouds and is displayed inside of the region when toggled is the Mercenariless Region of purchase. Another Image will be added to the blog to specify this in a day or two.
